The #18 Red Jade cultivar is likely the most iconic plant for black tea production in Taiwan. In this case, some of Master Luo’s #18 plants have started to develop an intense pineapple aroma, which is the reason for its name, a completely natural characteristic of these plants. This tea possesses all the classic strength and structure of #18, rich in balsamic notes with vibrant, sparkling tannins and an unexpectedly irresistible fruity richness.
\nWe recommend infusion in a 120 ml gaiwan, using 4 grams of leaves and water at 85-90°C for 30-50 seconds. Also excellent with western-style infusions in a teapot at 90°C for 3 minutes.
