Description
Yashixiang has an unattractive name (duck poo fragrance) but believe me, this is the only case where the name has absolutely nothing to do with the actual scent of this wonderful tea! Along with Milanxiang, this is an ancient plant, and we have decided to offer plants that we consider relevant and valuable in terms of both aroma and body. Ancient plants exhibit richness in both characteristics while modern cultivars, although very fragrant and delicious, often have a flat or otherwise less complex body. The producers of our dancong process this Yashixiang with a slightly lower oxidation and roasting than other plants, precisely to enhance its freshness and incredible fruity notes! Produced from a harvest of ancient wild shrubs, average plant age 50 to 80 years.
\nWe recommend infusions at not too high a temperature, around 85°C, 4 g per 120 ml and infusions of 35 to 55 seconds.
