Description
Among all the Oriental Beauty teas, this is perhaps the most unexpected, as it is actually a green tea. We cannot define it as a true Oriental Beauty since it is not oxidized, but derives from bitten leaves of Qingxin Dapan, which are harvested before the leaves dedicated to oolong production.
After that, Master Lin withers the leaves to extract maximum aroma and proceeds with the processing of green tea using pan-roasting. The result is a very original green tea that improves with aging, becoming even richer and more complex in aromatic profile, a rare thing for green tea.
We recommend trying to age it for a few years to fully appreciate its potential. After a couple of years, the body changes like that of a good white tea, and after four years, it acquires characteristics that make it similar to a sheng-pu.
We reccomend 4 grams of tea in a gaiwan, 70-80°C and 30 to 70 seconds.
